A Unique Wedding for a Wonderful Couple
Design for Unique Personality
It was an honor to be called upon to deisgn the wedding day of a wonderful couple. It was a small and intimate affair for family and close friends at a hotel and event space in Manhattan.
The couple wanted the traditional surroundings of a wedding, but with a more modern vibe to reflect their own style, and to make sure that their guests had a great time.
Tables were covered with white linens, white flowers and lots of white candles. A minimalist look in the suite was contrasted with bold pieces of accent furniture. Each table was set with care and the idea of "just enough" flowers and candles to give the feeling of ambience, but the intention for everyone to feel comfortable, and to enjoy a nice relaxing dinner.
The Wedding After-Party was held in an adjoining Lounge Suite. This was the more fun aspect of the evening with great music, a private bartender and everyone enjoying themselves. Furnishings were much more bold, lighting was dim, and everyone was ready to party! The Lounge was designed to include several conversation areas, and a large enough space for people to congregate.
By the end of the evening, everyone complimented the couple on what a uniquely special and "New York" wedding this was. All the guests had a great time, and the couple was so happy to mark the experience as one of the most important (and fun) in their lives.
